Cons

I was employed as a mortgage originator for almost a year. I came forward and reported financial fraud and deception that runs rampant at Residential Home Funding Corporation particularly in their sales (origination) department. Licensed mortgage loan originators employed by Residential Home Funding Corporation are not being properly trained and many aspects of their sales process is in direct violation of the laws intended to protect consumers. I was personally told by management and other loan originators to be disingenuous with borrowers on several occasions. While employed, I had personally witnessed the outright misrepresentation of financial loan products and services, as well as many cases of financial fraud. This included the forgery of documents (by tracing signatures against an office window), unlicensed solicitors acting as loan officers (which was offered to me as an option by the manager who hired me) and the manipulation of borrowers' documents and disclosures. Additionally, acting as the borrower to obtain financial information from 3rd party banks and mortgage companies is commonplace within Residential Home Funding Corporation's business practice by both loan originators and processors. There was a disturbing amount sensitive information that was not disposed of properly. Personal documents sent by borrowers, some of which were several years old could be found in unlocked filing cabinets, in boxes left under desks, and filling the drawers and shelves of every empty cubicle. There is something very telling about a company who hires a marketing strategist who bragged that Residential Home Funding Corporation’s website only allows four and five star customer reviews to be posted. These complaints were ignored by management and the owner. I contacted the CFPB regarding the financial fraud and the department of labor regarding OSHA violations for being harassed while sick.

Pros

The underwriters were very nice and would communicate well.

Cons

Corporate office. Promised one thing but given another. No training. No leaning curve. Reprimanded for not doing things I was never told to do. The worst is the public shaming by email. If anyone did anything wrong, instead of calling and speaking to the person directly and explain what needs to be done differently, they would send out a mass email and belittle the person. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.

Pros

Unfortunately I have nothing positive to say about this company. They will most likely go under

Cons

Worst work environment ever worked. They have a hard time keeping employees. Your income isn't guaranteed. The boss yells at people everyday and belittles almost everyone. The manager is the most negative human being I've ever met. Very dirty company. Stay away and save yourself.
