Pros

You have flexibility when you can go into the stores, to a certain degree.

Cons

The pay is really bad. If they say you make $12/hour, you are only making $10/hour. The other $2 is considered a "reimbursement". This means you are not collect social security on it. If you apply for a loan, you don't make $12, you make $10. AND, since they call it a "reimbursement" you can't claim any expenses on your taxes. They also don't pay you for every hour work. They put such high expectations on only a 45 minute service. When you don't get it all done, you get in trouble and told you will be put on probation. So, to keep your job, you need to work longer for free. If they don't like your work, they will send you back and only pay you minimum wage. They don't give increases. I asked for an increase after 4 years of working there. I was given $0.25 after a long battle. I WOULD NOT recommend anyone for this position.

Retail Assistance Response

This review was submitted by a disgruntled employee who was let go. In addition Retail Assistance pays the HIGHEST hourly wages in the industry for a third party National Merchandising Firm. No employee works for free, in fact the owners refuse to let any employee work for free, and the employee is told that they must leave the job undone if they run out of time. We treat our employees as family and appreciate each and everyone who works as part of the RAC family. Tracy Spalter

Pros

Flexible hours. Nice stores to work in, Macy's and kohl's, where I was, and have already been a vendor with for over 13 years. Macy's and Kohl's have always been pleased with my work, contrary to what RAC said.

Cons

They claimed I did not do my work. I have over 102 photographs to prove that I did. They docked my pay to minimum wage; I am filing a claim with the labor board. It comes to a substantial loss when you consider driving time and gas that was not reimbursed as promised.
