Pros

This place started off wonderfully, and now it's circling the drain.

Cons

Retreat does not appreciate their employees in the least. Bills are not getting paid; employees are now used as Band-Aids on the crumbling budget. Retreat will likely be closed in a few years time, if that. It's such a shame. In the past 6 months alone, countless employees have jumped ship for better opportunities, and countless others have been put on the chopping block and laid off. Upper management lines their pockets with cigars, plane tickets and filet mignon. Absolutely no regard for the "mission" and "vision" they claim to be so dedicated to. Their only mission is to shake their patients down for money.

Pros

Only pros with the company is the looks and property. And one of owners that unfortunately passed.

Cons

Unprofessional. They don’t care about their employees. They let go a full staff of single mothers with no notice favoritism. Rewarding individuals that don’t deserve what’s given hard work goes unnoticed. The CEO is blind and let management literally drive so many people from different departments away from the company. Again favoritism, which they will play like that’s not the case, but let other individuals get away with behaviors that is unacceptable. Very hostile work environment been threatened multiple times and reached out to HR regarding this, including the CEO but not response.

Pros

Getting to help people that so desperately need it. Meeting new friends.

Cons

Management is totally incompetent, goes day by day. From one day to the next you don’t know what answer you’ll get, they will change policies and procedures to fit their need. Always tries to talk to you in person, will not answer via email (no written proof). Then lie about what was said! Could care less about the safety of the patients or staff! Supposed to be 2 nurses to 20 patients on a detox unit! Laughable. They had no problem leaving nurses alone, then wider days later why certain administrative stuff wasn’t done! Then come the reprimands! And how your not pulling your weight! Forgetting that they left you alone a few days ago! Terrible towards nurses in general, everyone else is more important so don’t even ask! You are expected to work hours you never agreed to and when you don’t, retaliation. Management will blame current staff, nurses for new nurses not staying. They will Never take responsibility for anything at all! Process flows, what’s that? All and all, it’s very sad because this population of people need good places to recover. This place will continue to take $$$$$ but aren’t worried about outcome!
