This company used to be an exciting place to work, with a healthy culture and strong connections even in a fully remote environment. Unfortunately, over the past year, everything changed. Upper management is reactive and struggling to lead effectively. The CEO has failed to keep the product innovative or competitive, instead blaming the team for declining performance and laying off dozens of employees.
Now, with the company downsized by about 80%, the environment has become toxic. Gaslighting is rampant, especially after all women in leadership were let go. The company’s stated values—happiness, accountability, and transparency—are not upheld. Employee happiness is dismissed unless you’re part of management’s inner circle, with direct orders like 'If you aren’t happy, leave' (don’t worry, we’re all trying) creating a hostile atmosphere.
Accountability only seems to apply to the customer success team, while transparency is selective, with the CEO avoiding hard questions during town halls and refusing to disclose upper management salaries. Pay is low, and workloads have doubled for remaining employees.
I can no longer recommend this company as a healthy or rewarding place to work. There are loud whispers of the CEO's plans to sell the company in the next few months so I wouldn't anticipate job security for anyone.
