Pros

I love working for GroupOne Health Source. Every day is different and I get to interact with such a variety of professionals. My job is awesome and challenges me every day in different ways; it means I am always learning. Everyone cares and we have the flexibility we need.

Cons

I only have positive experiences with administration and management!

Thank you for the feedback. I’m glad that you have had a positive experience! I speak on behalf of all of the management team when I say that creating a positive experience where employees are equally challenged yet supported is one of our main goals. I think having that balance not only helps you grow professionally but helps the company grow. Thank you for your ongoing contribution and commitment.

The Big Brother Show in the Workplace

Pros

Vacation time was 21 days after you worked a year. I was fortunate to leave on my own before layoffs were announced.

Cons

Where do I start? The entire upper level management have no healthcare knowledge or experience. Promises are made starting in the interview process and are broken starting on your first day. There is no training program, so be prepared to hit the ground running. Most new employees would hit the ground, but never ran forward, they only ran OUT! I watched the executive leadership team lie to an entire room of people without blinking an eye, when I knew better in my gut. Even though the company is 30 years old, it is ran like it is a new start-up company. After training, be prepared to be on your own. Your coworkers will be your only support, but be careful! Management planted seeds and certain employees are moles for them. Working here literally felt like the work version of the show Big Brother or the movie "The Hunger Games."

First, I want to sincerely apologize for the experience you had with GroupOne. We take these reviews very seriously and are disappointed that we left you with the impression you have. I cannot be sure of what took place during your time here that made you feel this way. What I can be sure of is that we are constantly learning from our team members what is required to not only create the best work environment but also align this environment with achieving our goals. We are an entrepreneurial company which often resembles many of the characteristics of a start-up. You point out that this is the feeling you had during your time at GroupOne and it is that entrepreneurial spirit that encourages us to stay ahead of new developments in our industry. We know our client expectations have changed based on many of those industry developments and this has necessitated some change on our end. We understand that change can be uncomfortable, but our commitment to change will allow us to be successful. Your feedback on the challenges you faced during onboarding are also appreciated. Over the years, we have made great strides in the effectiveness of this process but we aren’t done yet. We are always looking for ways to improve the employee experience during onboarding to deliver a positive outcome and make the transition into a new role as seamless as possible. By implementing new technologies and new onboarding methods, we’re able to provide employees with the information they need to be effective in their role. We also expect these changes to result in even more opportunity for growth at GroupOne and overall higher job satisfaction. Throughout the time that I have been CEO of GroupOne, I have aspired to be as transparent as possible about the activities at the company. Perhaps one of the greatest lessons I have learned is that it is difficult to judge how transparent team members expect you to be. We recently rolled out a more structured operating system that is helping our teams track goals on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. We’ve experienced amazing progress so far with this methodology and its also providing our teams a forum for open and transparent communication when issues do arise or challenges are faced. GroupOne is a growing company facing many of the challenges growing companies face. We embrace the lessons we learn during this process and greatly appreciate the feedback you’ve provided.
