Pros

Purpose-driven firm with impressive track record / impact. Great upward mobility for younger folks in terms of growing into thought leaders / managers. A lot of science/academic work without the downsides of academia. Competitive compensation and great work life balance for folks with family.

Cons

As you would expect from a smaller firm, not all functional areas are built out yet so it can be very hands on and entrepreneurial. Sometimes tricky to find right balance between managerial work and substance/research.

Pros

Passionate, smart, kind people More junior-level staff are genuinely encouraged to provide input and are looped into high-level discussions Wide range of issues to work on with opportunities for specialization Smaller company with opportunities to shape internal processes, major research deliverables - also valuable for professional development Good transparency, communication, and feedback Pay (compared to Congress, think tanks, govt)

Cons

RHG is growing quickly so it can be fast-paced at times as the team works to meet growing demand. Not necessarily a con just a heads up
