Pros

1. Good colleagues in the inside sales team 2. Multi-cultural team, was fun to share experiences and perspectives 3. New management! Hopefully leading the team towards a performance based culture and doing away with the culture of sycophancy that existed in the past

Cons

1. Tough job with steep targets to achieve; unfortunately they are set by those who have never done sales themselves in their careers. Mostly bench-marked against some random statistics found somewhere on the internet that they believe applies to any kind of Technology sales 2. Restructuring is a habit now every year; targets + job uncertainty = lot of stress 3. Marketing folks simply don't understand the pressure this team has to go through. They somehow feel don't shoulder the burden of uplifting sales pipeline in Ricoh 4. Core sales organisation are easy to work with 5. Quite often it's not what you know/ or have delivered but who you know and how you present yourself that gets you visibility and even career growth in Ricoh. Very old school thinking in this day and age!! 6. No institutional effort to train sales in-line with who Ricoh is up against in the market and what the customer these days want 7. Management has failed the workers and the company quite often in the past because of their parochial leadership ways

Pros

Can't think of any good here except a parking spot really

Cons

An absolute joke. The continuous decline of the print industry will see Ricoh Australia as a classic example of why they went bust before the others. Such a polluted environment internally and the moment you enter the first floor you'll see agitated, stressed, red eyed zombies that are crushing their soul every moment just for the sake of keeping a job and paying their bills and this is what everyone there will tell you. Blame shifters all around especially in finance. Do not waste your time, resources and effort here as you will just deteriorate your health and sanity. Sales is still a good department to be in and they work hard to bring in any money that's left in this dying company. Systems are useless, hang every hour creating massive workload for everyone involved. Billing is quite questionable and you'll need to leave your ethics out of the door if you work in billings or credit. I would strongly recommend to steer clear this place in North Ryde as you will be micromanaged every minute by very unhappy people who have massive inferiority complex. Groups of females can be seen gossiping around and shifting blames and make it almost impossible for you to survive if you are a good performer and moreso a happy person. They don't like happy people in there. Why join a company where you will be treated like a nobody? I know people who left in depression and had to take counselling because of the emotional trauma they had to go through. PS: I am leaving next week

Pros

Good products in both traditional and emerging space.

Cons

Cash strapped both in Australia and in HQ. Japan thought the answer was a self-absorbed and arrogant NZ management team. Market is in structural decline, and so far Ricoh can’t work out a way to effectively replace its annuity stream. The biggest competitor made a decision to dominate market share and price has dropped to unsustainable levels. Continues to reduce headcount without any investment in systems to optimise workload.
