Pros

Free Snacks just to get overweight and be talked about by your colleagues for over indulging. Catering twice a week. Paid Parental Leave.

Cons

Management is by far amongst the most incompetent I've ever experienced in a workplace. They do not live up to their core values but place high expectations for employees to uphold them. There's no opportunities for advancement only misleading into assuming more responsibilities. They claim to promote from within but don't raises usually come with promotions? There's employees whom worked for Rinse for almost 5 years and haven't even received an additional .25 added to their wage. This company gives dedicated workers a lot of empty promises. Mark my words you're not valued you're expendable. Unless, you actually needed this job with even the slightest common sense you'll leave this company for one that actually appreciates your contributions. Colleague interactions and lack of support leaves you feeling undermined, overwhelmed and unequipped to perform tasks. Company exercises labor law loopholes to prevent just cause lawsuits. Companies highly biased and does not value diversity although it is something they will credit themselves for embodying.

Pros

Friendly people to work with. The opts is what makes the company run smoothly. They are better to deal with than management.

Cons

Treats employees terribly. Pay is not that great and sometimes you don't get paid on time. The company cares more about making money than the safety or health of its employees. Employees don't get compensated enough for hard work and labor. Company is very unorganized and mismanaged. Office is in a warehouse that isn't in the best condition for operation. Company is cheap and doesn't like to take care of its employees needs.

Thanks for your feedback - we are constantly investing in our Valets since they are the front lines of the customer experience. That's why we W-2 them and invest in training. Your feedback above is helpful as we continue to improve the overall experience...there's definitely still more to be done. Thanks - Ajay

Pros

I really wanted to give a zero rating for this company, however the system will not allow for a zero "stars" rating.

Cons

A myriad of abuses towards employees from this 'progressive start-up'. I will stick to the ones that should be investigated by the California labor law office. Unsafe working conditions and dishonest advertising. a) Drivers are required to handle as much as 60 pounds of dirty washing (one evening I documented loads of 53lbs, 60lbs, 40lbs, 48lbs, this is a typical night shift. Drivers pick up and deliver an average of 25 to 30 bags. If I am not mistaken the labor law states that two persons should lift an item that is over 60lbs, or have some form of tool to assist with lifting, (i.e forklift). The labor law also mentions that frequent and awkward carrying/lifting heavy items will and can cause injuries. A 'Valet'(delivery driver) working for Rinse is required to follow out all the above whilst navigating many top floor apartments with no access to an elevator. Many older buildings have precarious staircases. Rinse did not provide safety belts. b) I was never shown the health and safety guidelines when I started with them. c) Rinse does not inform prospective employees that heavy lifting is required for the 'Valet'(delivery driver) position or the amount of weight that is expected to be carried. d) Drivers are on a very tight time constraint each shift, therefore have to drive above a safe speed limit in order to squeeze the maximum number of stops, up to 30 stops. e) Drivers are forced to carry more loads than their passenger vehicle can safely accommodate without obscuring the driver's view of the rear windshield, front and back passenger side windows, and also the passenger seat. All of the above is a sure fire recipe for causing injury to an employees health and serious injury whilst driving unsafely to employees and other drivers/pedestrians. Rinse has also been known for it's false advertising of its pay structure and bonus incentive. The three hour work shift that is advertised is not accurate. As the shift progresses, HQ add more pick-ups and due to the high volume of stops it is almost impossible to complete your shift in the allocated time. So in fact drivers work an extra hour for 'NO' pay. Many drivers including myself never received the $100 bonus promised after 15 shifts.

Thanks for your feedback - we are constantly focused on improving the Valet experience so feedback like this is helpful. The Valets are the front lines of our customer experience (which is why we make each Valet a W-2 employee) and we are focused on making sure the number of stops in a given shift is manageable since we want the Valets to be able to provide the best service possible. Your notes on safety above are appreciated - we take safety very seriously and are proud that we've had very few incidents across several hundreds of thousands of stops. That said, there's always room for improvement and we will keep investing in our Valets and the rest of our team to make sure Rinse is a great place for everyone to work. Thanks again for the feedback - Ajay
