Thank you for sharing your thoughts after working as an on-campus intern. It's unfortunate to hear that you didn't have a great experience being part of our Student Acquisition Team, but we appreciate the insight. As a fast-growing startup, there are always a ton of moving pieces to take care of which adds an extra layer of difficulty, especially when operating a nation-wide team of interns. Nonetheless, we want to make sure we're improving on any mistakes made, so that all our employees, from our campus teams to our full-time members, have an amazing experience working for RippleMatch. On that note, if you have any other specific feedback points about our campus model, you can reach out to our Marketing Director at alejandro@ripplematch.com, to let him know more about your thoughts. Thanks again for helping us grow on campus, as well as providing us with this feedback.

Pros

-Amazing people who genuinely do have your best interests and the interests of the company at heart -True commitent to the mission and actual progress in terms of diversifying the company -Founders who spend a great deal of time explaining different facets of the business to the entire team and creating space for discussion and questioning. -Super fun company activities, retreats etc -Great collaboration and teamwork - I think that most people there are doing their best and love the work, and that is obvious when you work with them

Cons

-Lack of salary transparency - I was making at least 20k less than everyone on my team (even those at the same level) and didn't find out until I was laid off. -No room for growth - I directly asked for timelines on promotions and never got legitimate answers. -Poor business strategy - we changed around our sales and marketing strategies every month or so and never gave anything time to bring in money or prove successful. -Lack of research in the field - this fed into our poor business strategy. Not nearly enough decisions based on actual data and more based on the opinions of a select few leaders. -Insular culture - core people who had been there since the beginning ran everything and that will never change, regardless of whether they are good people managers or not.
