Pros

There is no pros, they flaunt remote work option , but new cto ,pretty much wanted people to come to office. Expect folks to be available day & night.

Cons

Absolutely worst company to work now. Specially after they hire New guy as a cto. He is worst human being & narcissist person. He basically set team on failure path by replacing latest stack with low code technology & create nuisance for everyone. He expect everyone to be available on day & night. There is no work life balance & everyone is stressed out. There is no planning & constant changing of expectations every day. He takes long vacation ( 15-20 days) but if you take vacation for 1 or 2 day then he get upset & threaten to fire people. If you hate your life & there is no option available then may be joining this company isn’t bad idea.

Fired on Vacation

Pros

Great diverse team with a lot of fun events. A good place for flexible and self driven work. Gave the opportunity to meet industry elites and work broadly across the company. I really enjoyed working with the owners and recruiters directly.

Cons

They fired me 3 days into a two week vacation by closing my accounts and contacting me vaguely via my personally email. The company laid off a whole swath of employees but didn't bother to contact me or inform me until I got back. I found this incredibly unprofessional for a company that specializes in recruiting. While I worked there, the data science team outsourced too much of the work offshore and then required the in house data scientists to spend twice as much time fixing the code and models. This resulted in poor performance models and having to make up benchmarks to justify ourselves to management.

Pros

Work with some of the top executive recruiters in the tech space.

Cons

There is a lack of training and development and cohesive culture and no structure in place for career growth. Those that have stayed long term are incredibly stressed and unhappy. There is high turnover and a lack of care for employees. Everyone is on edge, high on anxiety, and unwilling to help those around them, only looking out for themselves. It is a cliquey culture, difficult to learn, and tough to grow with favoritism at an all-time high.

Thank you for the feedback. I am disappointed that we failed to create an environment where you could thrive. I do dispute your comment that "long term employees are incredibly stressed and unhappy" - not sure where that is coming from, perhaps those folks have been at Rivi "long term" because they are invested in our Vision and Purpose - I prefer to let people speak for themselves rather one individual making broad sweeping statements on their behalf, I find that irresponsible. Also, your comment about "high turnover" is inaccurate and not based in any fact - there are a lot of your former teammates who are working hard to build a great company, untruths like this are even more irresponsible than speaking on their behalf about their "happiness" As I have said in previous comments, we do have a competitive culture and expect the very best from our team - we don't apologize for that. Accountability is part of our culture also - not everyone can hold themselves to that standard, perform at a high level, and be a great teammate - and if they cannot, Riviera probably isn't a great fit. It takes a certain level of maturity. Wish you the best in your future endeavors.
