Pros

I can only say good things about the CEO and the executive team. And there are many amazing and talented people who make this organization great. Salaries are on par with the market, and the benefits are fantastic.

Cons

How you experience the company depends on what team you're on. One senior leader is well known for their awful management. Nothing can get done because they spend the team's time micromanaging, gaslighting, running people in circles, and sending everyone back to the drawing board at the last possible second. This problem is so well known, it's a running joke in the department. But it's not funny. It wears people down to the point that they can no longer be productive. HR has been made aware of this problem multiple times and has done nothing to fix it. It's no secret, but a culture of fear and retribution prevents many from speaking out, and the ones who do complain only do so after they quit because they can't take it anymore or are fired because they're so worn down they can't do their jobs.

Pros

The people Everyone is very intelligent and very capable Very diverse...especially for a tech company. Definitely more so than any other company I've worked at Everyone is passionate about the mission and eager to help you do your job. Everyone is a friend. You'd want to get a drink after work with nearly anyone else in the office. The work Trying to uproot the logistics space is no easy task. It's a tough problem...but also exciting to try and solve Have a great idea? Do it! Have a great idea for another department? Go tell 'em and sell 'em! They're just a couple feet away and would love to hear your idea. General Independence. Roadie treats you like an adult...because you are one. Get your work done and care about what you do. That's all anyone cares about. But if you aren't meeting expectations, expect to be held accountable. Reach into leadership and impact on the business is at your fingertips.

Cons

Just like every startup...and most tech companies, Roadie is full of SMEs...not trained managers. If you can't self-manage, you'll struggle. Roadie culture isn't for everyone. It's very inclusive but if you're easily offended, look elsewhere. Salary and benefits are lacking. Put a bunch of passionate, hard working people in a small office and you'll find rough edges and butt heads. Not for the faint of heart. Roadie is a sink or swim environment. You can either hang or you can't. You need to be smart, dedicated, and passionate.

Pros

Overall a fantastic place to work with hardworking, smart, talented people. - Friendly, family-like environment - Given autonomy in projects - Great management and support for work/life balance - Collaborative environment - Countless opportunities to grow and learn - Strong core values of community both in and out of the office

Cons

Direction seems unclear at times. But that's a given when you're working at a start up and trying to become successful
