Pros
- Still some really good leaders around.
Cons
About a year after being acquired by Projekt202, all key execs (including the founders) left. Little to no new projects were sold during that period. Around the same time, Projekt202's parent company, Amdocs, took over the merger, freezing salaries and laying off many non-Engineers (mostly Design and Product) to minimise the impact of falling revenue. All of this on top of massive resignations that still continue today. Currently, only a few good survivors are holding the fort, keeping as much of the once amazing culture afloat as they can. Meanwhile, Roam has now been fully assimilated, becoming part of a new division of Amdocs, Stellar Elements, as its APAC branch. That being said, current state of things is: - Little to no interesting projects, especially in the Product and Design space. - Little job security, as company struggles to minimise losses while looking to get any sales. - Below-market pay. - Weak culture, as Amdoc's ways of working are diametrically opposed to what Roam used to stand for.
