Pros

Org - Experienced, passionate, talented, collaborative leadership team with a history of success in game development - 100% focus on designing and developing a high performing and fun game for a target audience, rather than ego or politics - Great place for bright and driven up-and-comers to learn a ton and find their super powers Culture - We laugh. A lot. Memes, emojis, gifs, funny faces, knife-sharp puns: we haz them. We lovez them - It's positive humor. No punching down or making feel uncomfortable in their own skin allowed - That said, there's a razor sharp focus on productivity - Strong sense of the company's core mission that informs everything we do Office - Amazing location. Shopping, restaurants, groceries, the beach, all right there - Whatever productivity tools or ergonomics you need Benefits & Salary - Comprehensive and competitive

Cons

Expectations (This isn't a con for me, but it might be a deterrent for some people.) - This isn't a place where you can blend into the drapes. The expectation is that you bring the goods: the passion, the dedication, the ideas AND the follow through, the love for the player. It's a foundational time in the company, and the culture is clear that there's no room for people not to be making marked contributions to the product and the culture - There's zero room for ego, here. If you can't check yours at the door, you're gonna have a bad time. We trust our people as experts in their field, but we also trust them to be collaborative and to view it positively if someone else veers into your lane a bit or others want to grow by understanding why you make the decisions you do.

Pros

Organizational: - Some of the best people I've worked with in my entire career; the leadership is experienced in building and launching games that are both fun and successful, and the entire team is highly engaged and talented... basically a dream team. - Collaboration is the name of the game (not literally... pun!); we love building things together. - The office (now Google Hangouts) is filled with laughter every day. We have boardgames (now sometimes Jackbox games for remote work) on Fridays. - Competitive salaries and full benefits~ - I'll steal this one: ground floor of an exciting game development startup~ - A robust selection of curated Slack emojis to express all the emotions. All of them. Office: (when everyone's not WFH because of a pandemic): - Located in a great part of Venice, CA. Tons of food and shopping right outside the office door. - Walking distance to the beach (~15min) - Shower and clothes washer/dryer at the office. :D

Cons

Organizational: - We have a lot of hats and fewer heads, for now. (Personally I like the diversity). Office: - Limited parking at the office.
