The company was quite disorganized, with projects constantly shifting and priorities changing at the last minute. This led to a chaotic and unclear work environment. While the owner had experience, the company's tendency to overpromise based on his past successes created unrealistic expectations, often leading to frustration and missed goals for the clients.
The company consistently hired cheap overseas developers, which led to subpar code and missed deadlines. The lack of skilled developers and poor quality of work caused numerous issues on projects. Working with overseas developers meant very limited overlap in working hours, which created constant challenges. When issues arose, I often found myself stuck without the necessary resources to resolve them, as the developers were unavailable for most of the day.
Priorities were frequently shifted for employees, leading to unfinished work, a lack of focus and poor handoffs as people were constantly let go. This made it difficult to make meaningful progress on any projects as they are handed off over budget and a disorganized mess. Despite bringing in someone to address the company's ongoing issues, the lack of consistent billing for hours and the inability of overseas developers to meet deadlines made for me to be happy with my departure.
