Pros

None that i can think of

Cons

Upon joining the company, I learned that the previous employee in my position shared that Robotiq had unrealistic expectations and did not understand how to work with local customers and adapt to their culture (they were fired). I was skeptical at first, however, not only were they right, but this was only the tip of the iceberg. During the interview, I was induced to believe: the full salary I was presented with was achievable (the OTE portion). This not only turned out to be far from true (therefore the salary was substantially lower) but I was asked to resign because the quota situation didn’t change in less than 6 months.; the company was growing locally and there would have soon been a local team (when actually they laid off almost the entire previous team) In addition, during my tenure: - my manager presented a series of pointless and absurd requests such as: joining every online 1-on-1 meeting (WITH THEM) 5 minutes in advance to "prepare" (??), joining work groupchats on my personal chatting account, translate all material to local language (was not in the job description). I was also asked to harass our partners to promote our products, provide an EXACT estimation of when the sales would happen and ask them to take care of the translation of OUR documentation. When I brought up the translation issue with HQ, my manager told me not to ask for support from HQ as “we should manage everything locally and avoid getting HQ involved” (in a company with fewer than 150 employees). - my manager would also skip meetings without notice and constantly change what they said from one day to the next, without ever having a strategy and without listening to any feedback (they were the worst manager I’ve ever worked with and they’re not meant to lead anybody). The list of issues is far from being exhaustive, however the bottom line is that the job was completely different from the job description and the company disregarded my and the distributors’ opinions because they’re focused only on the numbers of "the current/next quarter" and lack any long or even mid-term vision.
