Pros

1. Remarkable Transparency that rivals any company with whom I've interacted 2. Ownership: of successes and mistakes alike, from Sr. Leadership down 3. Community - co-workers with enthusiasm and willingness to share/teach/learn with you. We perform bi-annual performance reviews AND bi-annual cultural reviews to ensure each member of Rock is realizing their full potential as a whole person, not just professionally. 4. Focus on customer success to drive company success. 5. (a)Constant feedback requests from all parties: users, clients, leaders, freelancers, product & eng., and revenue teams. 5. (b) Plus, our Ops teams ACTUALLY do something with that feedback instead of letting it die in a spreadsheet. 6. Diversity - mostly women employees (59%), 3 company languages, 8 countries (and counting) and a broad range of services and solutions for any industry 7. Positive impact - "What kind of mark will we leave on the Universe if Rock closed its doors tomorrow?" is what our CEO asks in our All-Hands. Check out the Social Impact section of About at Rockcontent.com for more about this! 8. Real people doing good things together - when employees with tenure announce their transition out of Rock, people get legitimately emotional about losing a leader, mentor, and friend most of all. Rock's dedication to our cultural pillars (Learn, Teach, Collaborate, Solve, and Grow) are what make this a special place to work. I feel like I've been part of this company for years. No - not because I'm already burnt out or the job is losing it's luster; but I feel like I've known the people here and have been part of their "circles" from the overwhelming sense of belonging I've felt with my colleagues, despite WFH and working with a global team.

Cons

Predominant native language is Portuguese, but Universal Language is English.*** Developing market posture. Some of our collaborative projects would be - in my opinion - easier performed in person. Tuition reimbursement, at present, is a little less than others, but the total comp package has, in my experience, offset that fact for "Rockers" of all stages of their career and education process. ***I'm taking the opportunity to learn Portuguese while my colleagues refine their English. The "Language Barrier" is more of an issue for some than others, to be fair. Final note: In the last several consecutive Quarterly Kickoff meetings, Executive Leadership announced new initiatives or OKR's that explicitly and directly addressed the issues I identified through the previous quarter.

Pros

I honestly can say I do not dislike a single person I work with. Everyone here is fully committed to their jobs and are giving it their best everyday. The company is very transparent and the CEO is very friendly and approachable. They do care greatly about their employees and while compensation may not be the best, they are very focused on the well-being of their employees.

Cons

- The company has gone global and is trying to change too many things at once, making the workloads of the employees very overwhelming. - Some of the teams are understaffed, thus causing a lot of the overwhelming workloads (I realize some of this is a result of COVID and the impact it has had on our company, but it is still a challenge).
