Pros

generally speaking, management culture is more positive than in most restaurants and there does seem to be a healthy amount of promoting within and job advancement.

Cons

they claim often and loudly to be a different sort of restaurant group, that they take care of their employees, etc. but when it really comes down to the brass tacks, they still participate in the same exploitative restaurant industry foolishness. where other restaurants (that do not have nearly the clout or revenue of RFR) are upping their game post-Covid by actually paying their employees, offering benefits to part time staff, or adding automatic gratuity to all guest checks to ensure their staff are compensated, RFR continues to rely on their customer base to pay their employees for them. when they do actually pay a wage, it’s laughably low for a restaurant group that is so wildly successful. $5.15/hr for a service assistant, whose wage is then supplemented by other FOH staff tips (yeah, their unpaid employees get to pay their other unpaid employees, hooray). they do this while sending all new hires to an orientation in which they ensure everyone that they bring in over 100 million in revenue every year and that you too can get a crumb of that pie, i guess. i honestly would be fine with this if they just weren’t so laughably hypocritical about it.

Pros

The money one can make at some of the company's concepts- which, by the way, don't say the word "concept"- is pretty good.

Cons

You will be worked to death. This company is very militaristic in how it deals with staff. You will be lied to by management. You will be manipulated into doing things you don't want to do. You will be strung along until you drink the kool-aid. DO NOT DRINK THE KOOL-AID.

Pros

You can eat the food. They stared me at $15.

Cons

-Terrible Management on every level, they have no concern for their subordinates and generally want to live the clipboard life -Do not deliver on promises -Volume is ridiculous and frankly not practical. You will be buried on a full rail while FOH lays it on with no pacing or concern for the kitchen. -Turnover is crazy. Ive been here for 7 months and Ive easily seen over 100 employees come and go. -They advertise they pay up to $17 an hour which is not true. I was surprised to find out that most of the cooks were being paid $13 and under and hadnt received raises for well over a year of them working at Superica. -Corporate is the boys club. -To be considered for a 5% raisee they want to see you take "modules" which are 2-4 hour classes that you have to come in for on your own time. Much more. This place is a soulless fajita factory.
