It has potential, but it can not execute. They need real leadership.

Pros

The technical team is great. The compensation is good. The benefits are good.

Cons

The COO is not a business man, has no leadership skills, rules by fear and dismisses anyone who is not a yes-man. He does not listen to the people who work for him. Instead, he makes decisions for them and commits them to unrealistic goals. He is destroying the company. Terminations seem to be arbitrary, often without any prior feedback, and are generally the result of irritating the C-level executives. The company advertises that it can do everything, but that is impossible for such a small businesses.

Not getting better

Pros

The pay is competitive to high for the job and location, and the benefits have been marginally improved.

Cons

The good people that were initially convinced to join by fast-talking higher-ups have either left or are on the way out. Everyone has lost complete faith in the leadership team and realizes they are at best full of false promises or at worst delusional. The next deal is always "right around the corner" or "coming on fast," but little ever materializes. The same goes for organizational changes. Management is opaque, secretive, and tells employees what they think they want to hear to keep them happy, but are finding this only works for so long. The company is now churning tenured, skilled employees and replacing them with young naive staff who will put up with this oppressive type of management. This has left a company that is almost entirely leadership with no real staff to do the work or create the capabilities they constantly oversell. I left the moment another opportunity presented itself.

Pros

Cool looking office Bright lights Spends big money

Cons

My goodness where to begin... Despite the scathing Krebs on Security report (just Google Root9B, and you'll see it as the third or fourth link) this company had the audacity to keep saying they're a "market leader." SMH... Seriously? Any potential customer I spoke to would always say, "Root9B? I've never heard of you." "How come you're not on Gartner or any other major tech publications?" Started in 2011. Went public in 2015. In 2015, they got called out by Krebs for FRAUDULENT ACTIVITIES AND STATEMENTS. Which is why their stock plummeted to pennies. They were eventually acquired by Tracker Capital and have been regurgitating the same BS playbook that got them in this mess. Tough to understand who to blame... The CEO - who refuses to listen to experts advice, or the group of "yes people," he's hired to flatline the company. During the 2019 SKO, the CEO was asked "Who is our target market?" His answer? "Everyone." "What problem are we going to solve?" "Everything" Alrighty then. Solid plan. What's the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. Yeah... Apparently they've never heard of that phrase. Never met a group of "Executives," who are this arrogant, narcissistic, self-absorbed, and flat out rude. They lack vision, creativity, communication skills, LEADERSHIP, and of course a moral compass. This team is flat out reckless. Throw in nepotism since it's obvious friends and family get major benefits. I bought into the idea that they were trying to change, and I thought, "hey, everyone deserves a second chance." So I took a leap of faith by joining them... biggest mistake of my career. After working there for a few weeks, chatting with employees, and having access to their CRM it's obvious this company is a fraud. They have almost zero customers who use their products. Almost all of their revenue comes from services - which are a complete joke. They charge far more than any real market leader and they have no substance to justify why. Despite clearly being a Service company, this company somehow thinks they are a Product company... SMH... Delusional. They don't have a real development team or a real QA team or even a support team for that matter. Hell, they don't even have customers using these products so no one is going to contact support anyway. Maybe that was their logic? Either way, you would have to be crazy to work here. If the past is any indication to the future, this company is in big trouble.
