Making a career pivot can be intimidating, but the environment here is uniquely designed to support that leap. Coming in with limited digital advertising knowledge, I found the leadership (Ian and Amenda) to be incredibly patient and nurturing. They prioritized your potential and willingness to learn over your past job titles. In my previous industry, mistakes can be rigid, but here they are treated as teaching moments. I was guided through my errors without hesitation, which allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. The permanent remote setup eliminated the stress of a commute, allowing me to focus entirely on mastering new skills while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The company culture actively discourages burnout, which is a breath of fresh air during a demanding career transition. For holidays, they followed each country’s national holidays and held an agency closure annually at the end of the year.

From day one, I shared with Ian (the founder) that I had little to no experience in the digital advertising world. Ian was incredibly understanding and even helped me get onboard earlier by offering training sessions a week before my official start date. Throughout my time at Roots Digital, Ian was always patient with me whenever I made mistakes and he never hesitated to take the time to teach and guide me again. He also entrusted me with the responsibility to make my own decisions and taught me how to approach them thoughtfully and confidently. I truly feel that I grew the most during my time at Roots Digital, both professionally and personally. I’m deeply thankful to Ian and Amenda for their mentorship and support.
