Pros

Ropes & Gray treats its junior paralegals with trust and provides significant flexibility (i.e., no micromanaging). Managers are great, benefits are great.

Cons

Hours can be long, but you make overtime. Work can get boring.

Pros

Great training and ok mentorship. Really good benefits and manageable work life balance. My manger was wonderful. I love the firm culture and

Cons

The work was pretty tedious and there was a big discrepancy in the paralegal salary and the amount of work they had to take on. Everyone worked overtime so there was certainly additional pay on top of the base salary but over my time there I did not see much of an increase. I tried to have a bonus conversation with my boss and was pretty much shut down. The New York office is also pretty depressing, as a paralegal you can only see a window in the cafeteria.
