Their employees are a revolving door

Pros

Not a lot of pros. At first Rosedale greets it's employees with kindness. But it is short lived. They continue to brag about family oriented but only if related to owners or management. They also say negativity makes for a bad workplace but do nothing for their drivers to promote a positive workplace. They are definitely a reactive work setting instead of being proactive which would ease most employee complaints. But the bottom line is that they don't care. The line heard but drivers daily is "just do your job". Management yells, berates and does not listen.

Cons

Owners brag at a safety meeting that they made $3 million profit last year and offer a .40 cent raise to employees after a 4 year wage freeze. Money goes into raising the value of the company but company forgot that their employees are also one of their assets. No open door policy, only a berating of your ability. And don't provide necessary equipment such as working pumptrucks to perform work.

Pros

This company will promise you the world and works hard to brand itself as a leader in the supply chain management/transportation industry. Once you get in, a new reality will hit you as you realize that beneath the 'our family' slogans and proclamations of accolades of achievement, a dark underbelly fraught with abdication of duty, obfuscation of truth and surreptitious culture reveals itself. This company uses an incompetent paralegal from Ottawa to manage their sick and injured workers. Once you're on the list, the company will limit communication with you(occasionally offering up the topic of weather) This process in your time of need will make you feel as though 'it's them vs me' as they brand their employees to the outside world at the same time as "family." When or if you try to reach out for employment information, they will stonewall your attempts. They have a storied history of fighting against their vulnerable "family" as they proudly market themselves an "equal opportunity employer." They falsely advertise that they have vision care coverage within their benefit package but as a current employee, I can tell you that they don't.

Cons

Managers are wolves in sheep's clothing. Some managers in the west, renowned for their toxic management style have gone so far as to campaign against bullying on social media in their failed attempt to embellish their fortified reputation as bullies. HR is too busy tooting their own horn, showing off their "employer of the year" awards, awarded by an organization funded by them as a means of advertisement, then to seek to acknowledge, rectify or repair deeply entrenched problems within the company.
