Dreadful place to work for

Pros

Good pay, receptionists are great! Lovely grounds, nice rooms, kitchen and activities well run

Cons

Well besides the horribly unethical, lying, lazy, and conniving management who will do everything in their power to conceal what is truly going on and at the same time overload their staff while they kick back, the facility is understaffed like every other nursing facility-nurses and social workers beware-especially new grads. If you have a lot of energy, are positive, and can handle a large case load, you will be severely taken advantage of. When I left the place was falling apart. The decent pay is not worth the effects on your physical and mental health that this place will induce.

Pros

Beautiful views Friendly staff for the most part Communication is improving greatly Team work is practiced by most loyal employees Newer management in roles but eager and motivated to create positive change and are always friendly- that goes a LONG way these days. Appreciation by ED and DON when extra work is done. Gift cards are given in hand by the hands of management which is nice.

Cons

A handful of negative cna’s who all they do is complain but are the laziest employees and call out sick several times a month making their coworkers have to work short. Not enough staff Some scheduling problems seen.

Pros

The only good thing about this place is the residents.

Cons

Always being BEGGED to work because we are short staffed. this place will never be able to keep employees because they do not care about their staff or treat them fairly. You ALWAYS need to clock out for your 30 minute lunch, even though you will always be working through it. This company has inexperienced people whom they have as "directors" who have no leadership skills.
