Pros

The company is starting to use some new technologies that are interesting, there used to be company activities but all are gone now. Almost everyone is nice and easy to get along. People help around and share knowledge

Cons

The salary is not that good compare to the amount of tasks, activities, etc they want you to do, they seem to try to keep the salary as low as possible. Maybe to keep more for management. Many boring tasks that do not have any value outside of the company. The boring tasks can become in some situations really stressful and hard which of course you have to figure it out Management wants that we do everything like support, 24/7 support, customers deployments and organize this as well. If you work hard and bring new ideas, etc. You won't see it translated into a better paycheck, if you get an increase it will be less than 1 percent

Pros

I have met very talented engineers who are really passionate about their work .

Cons

I was very happy to join the company with the aim to develop new regions given my previous engineering experience working for large international organisations and understanding of the target markets . I’ve discovered very soon that the company’s culture is extremely toxic . People responsible for business development in a specific geography are grossly incompetent . Decisions and conclusions are made based on perceptions/biases/assumptions rather than on facts/logic/common sense , and at the end the outcome is expected - shocking miscommunication , every simple task ends up in confusion and blaming games . All these issues can be easily fixed , however initiatives are punishable in this company . I was unfortunate to work with a very immature micromanager who instead of leading , was constantly smothering and controlling even in topics beyond his basic understanding . I was gobsmacked when the person had advised me to focus on punctuation and orthography in the language he doesn’t speak or arguing endlessly how not to use CRM while you are trying to fix the ongoing mess , and contrary to internal processes . Add to the topic silent treatments , constant backflips and emotional immaturity , and you get the idea about the management style . The main issue is that once you encounter this situation, you are on your own . No one is interested to hear you , and you are at the mercy of the same person who needs to be coached and trained how to manage people . I highly recommend avoiding Rubicon Water due to its lack of proper governance , and unpleasant working environment . If you decide to go ahead with the role , please make sure to clarify vigorously the role expectations . As an example ( and unbeknown to me prior to commencing ) , my manager assumed that everyone who speaks another language becomes by default a technical writer , an interpreter and a translator . I have explained the differences , and offered a solution , though I was simply ignored and subsequently criticised . Please don’t get yourself into a mess !
