Pros

Decent salaries. Some generally caring people in the homes.

Cons

The company operates a fear culture. Where they run fear from the top. Hard working staff get ‘threatening’ emails from head office. The churn of directors, managers and staff is something I’ve never come across. The retention is so poor - people are leaving every week. There is no structure. No communication. Micromanagement.

Pros

The CEO believes in doing the best for the residents. The director will be the end of the company and every good employee, proving that you can choose your friend's but you can't choose family.

Cons

Head office are ruled by fear from the top. The person in charge is self-absorbed with multiple personalities who can't handle the pressure and move goal posts after asking you which actions to take. Completely uncaring and go through management continuously and treat people like numbers . An absolute disgrace who wants people to please him rather than do the best for the residents and the homes. No personal approach at all with these. I have witnessed staff being sacked before knowing what a staff member is going through, or trying to find out or help them. It's a get rid of them culture without a second thought.

Disgusting company

Pros

Residents, paid to attend training.

Cons

Poorly managed, uncaring senior staff, deaths and neglect covered up, documentation falsified to get favoured staff out of trouble, staff expected to abide to very strict routines - eg every resident must be up by 9am, senior allowing staff to sleep on night shifts. Runwood homes is a business and nothing more, residents are not the heart of the company which is very sad.
