Pros

Here are some of my favorite things about working at S2N Health: 1) Focus on Healthcare: I studied biology in college and thought very seriously about medicine before ultimately deciding to do consulting. It was important to me when I decided against med school that I still pursue a career in healthcare. S2N Health has been the perfect place for me to combine my passion for healthcare with business strategy work. 2) Variety of Work: Consulting provides the opportunity to work with a variety of clients each with different technologies in different clinical areas and different stages of development/commercialization. At S2N each analyst is staffed on multiple projects at a time, which keeps day-to-day work interesting. I am constantly learning, and I never get bored! 3) Growth Opportunities: The partners at S2N are committed to creating a supportive environment with fulfilling work and growth opportunities for each of their employees. Over my 3 years with the firm, they have provided mentorship and support to help me grow from a new analyst with no formal business experience into a confident thought partner with both project management/client engagement responsibilities as well as a valued role in the firm's management. 4) Culture: S2N has a fun and collaborative culture. Everyone is fully committed to providing high quality work to our clients and works closely together to execute projects. At the same time, I know my colleagues care about me as a person. S2N is dedicated to supporting a healthy work life balance with reasonable working hours and (pretty infrequent) travel. Perhaps most importantly, we have a lot of fun as a group, whether eating lunch together, going on "field trips" to observe procedures, or even learning to curl.

Cons

I was a little nervous at first about working at such a small company, but it has turned out to be one of my favorite things about S2N Health. While some things aren't as structured or traditional as you might find at larger firms (e.g. promotion ladders, training, etc.) what this really means is we get to have a more personal/customized experience. We get to have a say in how we grow both individually and as a company. I struggle to come up with a true "con" because the partners are so open to feedback that if I ever have a problem with something, I can go to them with a suggestion.

Great Place to Work

Pros

Great place to work. People get more responsibility compared to other consulting firms, so you have many more opportunities to grow and develop into a smart business leader earlier on in your career. There is a ton of exposure across the medtech space ranging from large international companies to small companies. We do a wide array of strategy-oriented projects so the work is never repetitive and always interesting. Here, you will truly be partnering with your clients to help strategize and tackle some of the most complex problems in business. Also, the team culture is very positive and nice. Everyone is willing to help you, teach you, and truly cares about your development.

Cons

None that I could think of.
