Pros

Fun work - meet great customers. Varied work environment, outside/inside - at different customers houses all day long. Company vehicle. Work with some other good guys.

Cons

- Minimum wage pays. It's piece work. Rogers estimates 30-40 minute jobs pay 15-16 bucks. 10-20 minutes between job sites - 15 minutes after each job to input codes, make notes on what you did and make screen shots to cover yourself, and run questionnaires after each job. Also running an app in your laptop to make sure each device in that house (even though you only swapped/installed one) is within Rogers specifications. You have to make sure each one is proper. Wait up to 3 minutes each time you run your rogers app on your laptop - hopefully you don't have to waste 3 minutes rebooting your computer. Fix any issue(s) found by adding/removing pads/amps. Run rogers app again (wait) - hopefully it's all fixed. You can spend upwards of 2 hours doing this... meanwhile the job is still 15 bucks. They "TOP UP" if it takes longer. Your top up wage is minimum wage. And they wonder why techs are cutting corners not meeting rogers specs when running the rogers app... not replacing connectors at the cable box and tap, not replacing wall plates, not replacing old cable... because if you do this at each call a 20 minute call turns into 60/90/120/240 minutes, etc... I had multiple calls which were easy Third Party installs where there was so much work to do to make sure I didn't get a fail or repeat, a 20 minute estimated call turns into a 2 and a half hour call. Dispatch gets upset because they estimate you will be there for 20 minutes so they throw 4 calls in a 2 hour window for you to complete. You will never, ever be at a customers house for less than 30 minutes if you do your job properly... which means a minimum of basically 50 minutes for a call that could potentially only pay 3 bucks (equipment pick up). You drive to the house (10-20 minutes) pick up the equipment (5 minutes) check the cable box at the side of the house and Tap (5 minutes) replace old connectors/grommets etc (could take 5-20 minutes), run the Rogers app to make sure any remaining equipment is within spec. Guess what - if it's not you have to put it into spec. ... ya you could get an easy install or change of service which will only take 30 minutes (not including the drive) but those are - RARE. Management/supervisor are actually pretty cool but ROGERS IS A JOKE. They pay piece work instead of a decent hourly wage because they basically assume you are lazy and won't do your job properly. If you do your job properly, use your brain, treat the customer how they should be treated, don't leave work for other technicians to fix up after you - you can make more money working at Tim Horton's or Walmart.

Pros

you have the chance to know a lot of coworkers (professional technicians) and to deal with different situations where you learn a lot.. The repartition in Montreal has a very hard working team. I thank all of them for the great job they are doing

Cons

all employees are under paid for the job that they are doing. As technician you are required to work 12 hours shift from 8 am to 8 pm 5 days a week. the salary is based on piece work, at the end you get paid 400$ or less a week that's means below the minimum wages.

Pros

No pros at all. Avoid at all cost. You can make a better living at Tim Horton's.

Cons

Company is a joke. Stay away from this company. They don't care about the employees at all and you will not make the money they say you will, ever!!
