Pros

Can’t think of any pros

Cons

It was rumored that I wrote the last review but I did not. This is my actual review of the Micro lab specifically. Working at this job was an exercise in frustration and disillusionment. It's a place where favoritism is practiced , with bosses who blatantly lie and gaslight employees, even when presented with concrete evidence. The dynamic between the male and female boss is in fact bizarre, adding another layer of discomfort. To top it off, the 1st shift supervisor's lack of awareness and unwillingness to advocate for the team makes for a toxic work environment. This job's promotion system seems more about personal connections than qualifications or merit. It's baffling that someone without a degree and minimal output could become the highest-paid analyst just by threatening to leave. The fact that promotions hinge on favoritism and smooth conversations rather than actual performance is disheartening and unfair to those who work hard and meet the qualifications. This kind of environment fosters resentment and undermines the morale of the entire team. The male boss is egotistic, passive aggressive, and loves being in control- unfortunately he never actually knows what’s going on. The female boss lies about everything just to always be right and to prevent herself from being viewed as incompetent. I could go on, but the previous reviews on the lab say it all! Unless you are desperate for work avoid at all cost.

Pros

Pay is good, job opportunities

Cons

Racism, only way you get to the top is you’re throwing people under the bus or having inappropriate relationships with higher ups to level up. Will work you until you have physical body pain and still won’t care to work with you or switch you out to relieve body pain. Poor management and they don’t help you unless you’re a certain color or their spy. They let certain things slide with their favorites but if they dont care for you they will write you up for anything. It’s like high school at SCA. HR will always be on managements side! She will not advocate for you.

Pros

Good pay, but try to gyp people’s raises. Flexible hours (depending on the department). Free dental. PTO rolls over the following year.

Cons

Not allowed to take unpaid time, make you use your PTO even if you don’t have any. Plan on working at least 2-3 Saturdays a month, you have no choice in the matter. So good luck having a life outside of work. You’ll work past your 8hrs everyday. Lots and lots of work gossip. Management like to screw people over when it comes to vacation time and raises. Force out managers that actually care about their workers for the “yes” man type of manager. High turnover rate. Ask way too much from employees. Even if you keep your head down and mind your business, don’t worry they’ll still find a way to screw you over. If you need the money sure, but you’ll be miserable.
