Pros

Other than management, the people are good and care about the company. The facility is being upgraded. There is a company BBQ and holiday dinner once a year.

Cons

New management does not appreciate employees, they manage by intimidation. Management acts as if the laws do not apply to them, Management is forcing long term employee out by either managing them out, or forcing them to retire.

Thank you for your feedback. I think a conversation with your supervisor or with HR would be welcomed to better understand your situation. That's great you have an excellent team you work with and see the upgrades being made. There were a couple of long employees that did retire from our company after a great tenure as they felt it was good timing for them to enjoy their retirement.

Pros

Other than pay and some of the people, there's not much positive to say about this place.

Cons

The overall morale of the whole plant is bad. When working days, you'll overhear supervisors, senior management, safety personnel, etc. in the hallways and break room talking negatively about the company and other members of management. There is no training program for new hires, they call this "tribal knowledge", yet openly admit that it's not working. Safety has taken a huge backseat here until an operator had her arm broken by it getting stuck in a conveyer belt, then they started taking it more seriously. There's no accountability, and those that are held accountable are held accountable unfairly by getting disciplined for not doing a job correctly that they have received no training for. You've got shifts being run by people that have less than 2 years experience combined between 3 operators and expect them to be able to run short and effectively do their jobs. The veterans are so burnt out that they don't even want to train the new hires, so you have new hires training the new hires. There is no SOP for anything. There is, but it's not useful. For a task that takes 20 minutes and has over 20 steps, the SOP has 4 steps. These concerns have been brought up time and time again, but management literally doesn't care. Near misses occur everyday due to inexperience, yet there is no one trying to get the proper training for their operators. Some of the people are very genuine and they see how others struggle and they want to help, while others are so desperate to get out of doing their jobs that they intentionally looks for the slightest thing to get a line shut down just so they don't have work to do and just go home. There are tons of misogynistic behaviors, anytime a woman comes to work on a line they get berated with comments like "this isn't a job for a woman" or "she isn't going to last long" for jobs that are literally just stacking boxes/trays that don't weigh more than 25 pounds. This place has been an absolute nightmare to work.
