"You haven't demonstrated your value to the company"
Pros
Excellent coworkers from a wide variety of backgrounds, good place to make an entry into the musical instrument industry and gain insight into the processes involved. Reasonable flexibility of work schedule if not in a custom-facing position.
Cons
Constantly conflicting messages from management, inefficient planning and processes for production, and half-hearted recognition of employee success (occasional "free lunch"). Frequent "dangling of carrot" by management to get you to take on additional work without compensation: pseudo-promotions to take on managerial work, additional production capacity, design work, tasks outside your department, and refinement of production processes, all with no reward. Then, when approaching management to discuss the imbalance between workload and compensation, you'll be gaslighted with comments like "what additional work have you taken on?", "that work is nothing groundbreaking," "I gave you those tasks because I thought you would enjoy them," and "you haven't demonstrated your value to the company." Attempts to implement questionable pay-docking policies as punitive measures so that management does not have to supervise processes for which they are responsible. Poor response from HR regarding this situation.
