Pros

Overall I am very happy with the company. I have been at Securiport for over 8 years, promoted internally several times. Maybe this depends on the department, but there is plenty of opportunity for learning new skills and working on the things that interest you. The company is constantly growing, with new positions and new opportunities. This is the first international company I have worked for that has a large global presence and the team is representative of it. Everyone is friendly, respectful and with a great team spirit. In the past 8 years I've been with the company, I have witness that most people who join remain with the company and that really speaks highly of the CEO and his commitment to employees. Great benefits, strong work/life balance, and a beautiful office in the heart of Reston. Occasional happy hours, monthly birthday celebrations, and free parking are a nice bonus. The annual Christmas party is a highlight — great music, food, drinks, and some seriously generous raffle prizes!

Cons

No remote or hybrid flexibility, which can be a challenge for those with longer commutes to Reston. The office also closes over the holidays, which while a generous perk, can feel a bit quiet for those who prefer to work through it.

Pros

Genuinely diverse environment and a strong group of people to work with. The company is pretty flat, so it's easy to be heard by leadership and you feel valued as an individual rather than a headcount. Feedback tends to be pretty direct, which not everyone enjoys, but personally I appreciate it and it has helped me grow professionally. There's a lot of international exposure, and you regularly collaborate with colleagues from very different backgrounds. The business is growing quickly, and there's real room to grow if you're willing to take initiative. Compensation sit around market average, but the pace and the variety of technologies make up for it. If you want hands on experience across a wide range of stacks and architectures, this is a great place to build it.

Cons

No remote work option, which is a downside. The CEO management style feels closer to the 80s than today.
