We’re very sorry to hear you had a negative experience at SIGNET. Recognition is definitely something we can improve on, and something we’ve been consciously trying to improve. We have introduced “job-well-done” notes that co-workers can write to each other in the kitchen, and we’ve been encouraging managers to share positive feedback about their employees with the rest of the staff. Sharing information is easier in our new building with the digital signage we now have available, and it’s not uncommon to see employees recognized for a job well done up on the screens. I, personally, haven’t interacted with “angry” people here, but I do recognize that people can get stressed in a fast-paced environment like ours. Based on your feedback, I think we’ll look into a “stress management” training that could help give employees different strategies for dealing with this stress.
