      Pros

      It USED to be a great place to work. Not the same since the new owners took over. Free sandwich once a month.

      Cons

      No longer providing personal service, work farmed out to teams so clients never know who they are dealing with and accountants are just employed to answer emails. If you want to be an account manager then this is the job for you. Don’t expect to run payroll, calculate a VAT return or prepare a self assessment tax return, If you can find time between emails perhaps prepare a set of accounts. I wouldn’t recommend to work at SJD with its current management and structure.

      Pros

      I write this because it is mandatory a phrase but pros are nothing.

      Cons

      Terrible workload, little to no support from the management, no training, no career progression, only if you join the circle of the upper management you can expect to have a pay rise or a promotion. Horrible salaries. People stay 6 month-1 year and then run away.Used to be better but with the current management the working conditions worsened

      Overworked

      Friendly colleagues. Free monthly lunch

      Cons

      Overworked, you cannot possibly complete the work in the 40hr week. No training provided. 200 clients per accountant, impossible to provide a good service as you just can't keep up. I read the reviews but thought it would be different for me, sadly I was wrong. Complaints to seniors fall on deaf ears. So many staff off for stress. High staff turnover
