Pros

Free classes, access to free classes with partner locations

Cons

Racist/Sexist/Homophobic Management. The owners are highly wealthy individuals who have no concept of a living wage. Leadership ONLY cares about making money and does NOT care about people. There is no salary transparency and no operational integrity. They will pay you as little as possible and when you communicate issues they say "thank you for your feedback" and do nothing. They intentionally hire younger, less experienced people in management positions so they can be controlled. They will exploit you infinitely. Turnover is high. They do not care. There is no HR team to hold corporate accountable. This is intentional. The company is doing well financially and opening multiple new studios in the NYC area this year. They spend their money increasing their profit and will have a lengthy debate over whether an employee is worthy of a $2 raise. It is clear that they have funds and they will not invest them in their team. They send out surveys asking for employee feedback and make no changes to improve the lives of the employees. Most of the instructors are white women because this is not a company that makes people of color and minorities feel welcome. As instructors, your job requirements will change frequently with little notice. You will be continually asked to do more while being offered less in return. This is a HIGH BURNOUT job. You will be required to sign documents that say you have to follow certain rules but corporate is not held to the same standard and can do anything they want. You will be asked to compete in competitions to increase certain metrics. The winner will be offered a sweatshirt in the middle of summer instead of fair compensation and a fair work environment. It honestly feels like a slap in the face. DO NOT WORK HERE.
