Pros

There are a few nice people that work there, but they let management walk all over them and you just constantly feel bad for them.

Cons

Anyone who has any drive or purpose should not work here because all of your dreams will be quickly crushed. This company hasn't changed its policies in decades and doesn't intend to. The superiors love to belittle the "Millennial" generation in the office and take great joy in being controlling and condescending bullies. They are unappreciative of initiative, and anyone that decides to stand up against their outdated ideals never lasts long. They will ask you for your opinion, not listen to a word you say, belittle you and tell you why you are wrong and then blather on about why they are right. Superiors have terrible bouts of amnesia and love "forgetting" that they ever made a decision. They will then blame the result of their choice on you (or the person closest to the right) and question why you would have done such a thing-Unless it benefits them, at which time they will take the credit. This is probably why so many people refuse to make command decisions and deflect blame at all costs. There is no clear career path, only people waiting for others to retire or die so that they may fill their shoes. They are terrified of technology and trust no one. If you have a problem, too bad because there is no HR department-Just the way they like it. This company is ran by miserable people who find great pleasure in making others feel equally or even more miserable. I have never worked anywhere so depressing, so discouraging and so oblivious to the unhappiness of employees. I just hope that this review can help save someone from this place. Don't be fooled. Take your other offer.

While your comments are from several years ago, our long-term success over the past 40 years could not have occurred without the investment in talent and the most current tools in the industry, allowing us to perform our services at the highest levels. As an Employee Owned company, we work every day to be as transparent as we can to our owners – to our colleagues, so that the future growth of the firm is in good hands.

We most certainly agree that we have cool people to work with, compensate everyone well and have a nice professional environment – thank you for your observations! This may be a delayed response, but we have worked hard over the past few years to advance our attributes and address the areas that need improvement, including being more transparent and engaging with everyone on our teams. We are in a collaborative profession and we will only succeed with a diversity of ideas where learning is a two-way street. Thanks, again!

Young grads stay away

Pros

There were some nice professional people who worked here but very very few of them.

Cons

As a fresh graduate I accepted a job here as a cad drafter. I got SO burnt out that I started having health problems and had to quit. They really treated me like a grunt. CAD work can be very exhausting/taxing but they don't seem to care, they just kept throwing more and more redlines at me to pick up No appreciation was shown young grads are just disposable tools. Young people... stay away from this toxic place! They will burn you out, use you.... Projects are about as uninspiring and mediocre. But this is what happens when you have a staff of homogenous yuppy preppy males.

Dear Former Employee – thank you for your comments. It is disappointing that our diverse practice was not a good fit for you. We do not wish for anyone to be in a place that does not draw out the best in them. A healthy work/life balance is important to us and would ask that wherever you are that you reach out to your employer, HR or a co-worker if you are overwhelmed. As this comment was submitted several years ago, we hope you have landed in a place where you can succeed.
