SPK is a small business so there is a lot of flexibility and growth within your role. I have been able to learn a lot of new skills without being capped by my job title. Everyone works together well to create great results.
Cons
Sometimes in order to meet a deadline we need to work overtime or on the weekends but that time is usually provided back as comp time.
Small, family-owned business where my well-being is as important as my deliverables. I feel genuinely cared for by my peers and colleagues; this isn't a "team" this is a "family"! My contributions matter - I'm often the only person working on a task; new experiments give me numerous opportunities to be creative; I am always learning new technology and topics and life skills. I am allowed-to and encouraged to "fail" sometimes (extra time is budgeted for it!) which shows the company's commitment to my professional growth.
Cons
In a smaller company where my contributions matter ... my mistakes become visible very quickly. This isn't a place where I can "slack off"; causing my boss to work on a holiday to fix my mistake makes me feel bad.
