Pros
Great benefits, pension, 5% 401k match, many choices for health insurance, relatively low stress.
Cons
Hard to get things done due to red tape - it often takes month to do basic things like purchasing a computer. Inconsistent resources depending on which team you're on (e.g. one employee has a laptop & desktop, 2 large monitors, & a private office, another employee doing a similar job has an old desktop, 1 small monitor, & shares a cubicle designed for 1 person with another employee) - worst part is that these employees are expected to produce the same results come performance review time. Very limited opportunities to move to a different team. Technical people can't get promoted without going into management.
