Pros

- Good people, although mostly disgruntled - CEO is pretty understanding - Easy commute - Small enough to have your voice heard

Cons

- They're broke - Pay is in the bottom quarter - Expected to work multiple positions - Be prepared to stay late for some unreal project deadline - No one to manage projects - Resources are out-dated if not non-existant - Corners are cut everywhere possible - Employee morale is miserable

Unprofessional, incompetent, and unethical company

Pros

Glitzy looking NYC office with great views of the city

Cons

*Disorganized - I saw signs of disorganization as soon as I came into contact with this company. When I was applying for a position at this company, HR sent me the wrong job opening description and also lost some of my candidate information. *Disrespectful & arrogant - The backstabbing and talking behind one another backs (as another poster mentioned) started from Day 1 of my employment. Not only did employees (including management) talk harshly about each other, they disparaged the client. *Incompetent - There are so many errors in the work that STC produced: misspellings, incorrect use of English, mathematical errors, etc. Also, many of client deliverables were finished past deadline. *Unethical - After I pointed these errors out, one of the account directors ignored them and said he hoped that the client wouldn't notice. Furthermore, I was reprimanded for pointing out the errors in an attempt to improve STC's deliverables to the client. *Favoritism - Promotions are not based on merit but rather by one's personal relationship to the CEO (as another poster also mentioned). *Unprofessional & dysfunctional - Overall, the way STC handles workplace issues in the workplace is appalling. The constantly hire and fire people, blaming each exiting person for their troubles. *Expected to work unreasonable hours - On my first day, I was there for over 12 hours straight because the company was scrambling last minute to finish a client deliverable. *Below the industry standard in pay & lacking medical and retirement benefits I recommend potential applicants to look elsewhere for work. The stress of working for this company is just not worth it.

Pros

- Management and staff are friendly and encouraging - High standards for creative work - Relaxed working environment (not too long hours, casual dress code, can work from home...) - Company has good reputation and client base, which is expanding

Cons

- Poor follow up of projects because chain of command is not well established. - It usually takes a lot of time to set things in motion despite the clear importance of the tasks. - Long, unproductive meetings - Low compensation

Thank you for your review. We agree that our shift from exclusive B2B clients to a wider range of B2C clients has put a strain on the organization "as it used to be" and we have gaps that we are addressing. Hear you loud and clear on the meetings and those will be eradicated, although it takes all to make meetings productive. Prior our business shift, we offered more exciting packages and experiences... We aim to realign to be more compelling. Do not hesitate to discuss any of those face-to-face, feedback is appreciated... Happy to listen to any recommendations to improve.
