Pros

The pay is okay for what the job actually is. The location is convenient, you can get there by almost any train via grand central, Times Square, port authority, the LIRR and the metro north. If you’re a people person you might make some connections.

Cons

The managers are terrible and are more worried about being on their phones scrolling and making TikTok’s and sitting in their offices rather than actually doing their jobs. They have favorites and if you’re not one of them they treat you like garbage, talk ish about you behind your back and try to bully you. The whole place is very cliquey and unprofessional. The senior managers and onsite associate directors don’t care about you, your wellbeing or your safety. If you have a bad interaction with a guest they will always put the blame on you, even if the guest is disrespectful and or threatening you they won’t side with you because they’re cowards. If you’re a full time worker with this department you can forget about ever having a life outside of this place. They want you to be slaves; which is why the managers, senior managers (with the exception of 1) and associate directors are so miserable and want you to be miserable too.

Pros

-Great holiday pay -Flexible part time schedule -meet great people

Cons

-management is horrible and do not care about you at all they just care about the money and not about the guests experience - no one is ever on the same page. Always something different coming from different managers -they make up rules as they go -if they like you then you don’t gotta worry about anything, but once they don’t they start finding reasons to fire you

Pros

So many interesting and loving people there, good money

Cons

The people really charge do not care about anything but money. They make choices that negatively affect the staff and guests. All they care about is money and let the team deal with the angry guests from over crowding. The management runs things unfairly, if they want you fired they’ll start marking down random things while ignoring it from everyone else. They make up new rules that apply one day and don’t the next.
