The owner used to value his employees, but not anymore. He now has his team of a few "favorites" and only their opinions matter even though you have dedicated many, many more years to his company. Your opinions as a "non-favorite" employee don't matter and are of no contribution to the company. If one of his favorites decides that for whatever reason, they don't like you anymore, they will find a way to fire you. No warnings, no talks, no communication, YOU'RE FIRED. It's all good for the owner as he just goes and hires younger, cheaper new hires. What he fails to realize is that his mistreatment of the general staff is going to cost him sales in business. Don't expect a christmas bonus either, not even an extra dime.
