Pros

1) Awesome company for processing I -140. 2) Great Visa attorney. 3) Inspiring company for starting diner business.

Cons

1) Family owned business - Ask anyone working in this organization what this means. 2) Mid level management is great in presentations. Only in presentation. 3) Lots of projects in pipeline, most of them are vacuum. 4) Great PR team. Expert in fake reviews and buying magazine space. 5) Good work life balance, not more than 12 hours in client place and another 3 hours in offshore calls. 6) Outstanding 401K match, less than 2%. 7) Work culture is good provided you know your boss, personally. 8) Be careful of your visa status, they have recently refused to process extension or to give updates for RFE. 9) Favoritism. 10) Female to Male ratio is almost equal to bull crap. Google the below 'Gates Foundation sues software developer, claiming it billed $2.8M and built ‘nothing of value in return’ Highlights of 2017 : 1) Employees was sent on forced leave. 2) Asked employees to find jobs outside. 3) Fired the whole sales team 4) Fired the whole data science team.

Over the past two decades Saama has built a great franchise as pioneers in the Data & Analytics industry bringing the true value to our loved and respected customers in many distinct industry verticals who taught us to be transformative and relevant to their businesses. Meanwhile, thousands of employees have not only had a job at Saama but taught the organization some of our best qualities that we possess today while building life-time lasting careers for them based on their contributions at Saama. The leadership team at Saama belongs to school of thought that our messages can be misunderstood, mis-communicated and misinterpreted from time to time. We will continue to do a better job in learning on how to explain it better and more importantly will work harder at being understood better from our employees/customers. We believe you are invested in helping Saama to do better than the best and hence you are requested to reach out to the HR or your manager or CEO and help us continue raising the bar at the organization where your good friends are still employed.

Pros

This place used to operate more like startup with somewhat of a lack of structure but there was good motivation and opportunities to contribute and work hard, and also feel you had your hand in the company having success. This has broken down very much. Current Pro - Usually free lunch 1-2 days a week, Sometimes snacks are there too. Compensation is not so high but you get paid on time and the check does not bounce but you do not get pay back for business expense.

Cons

Total breakdown of trust. Employees are being monitored like crazy. There is such emphasis on documenting and monitoring your work that it makes it harder to get the actual work done. Managers are rude and find a way to spin things into writing that only reflects a way to make them looking good. There were new policies put into place meant to speed up the time that a project takes and make the tasks more better documented to make people accountable, which could have been taken as a good improvement alone but it has now gone far past that. Every minute of your day you can be questioned on. You cannot say anything without being question. You are micromanaged every time of the day. If you question any of it you will have retaliation against you with more strictness. HR and upper management does not understand the problem. They set up meetings where people cannot be telling the truth. They do not hear the truth when you try to give it to them on the side. Even with "open door policy" you are being told that you cannot speak to others. Also office is too small. It may now be safety violation hazard so many people are here some of the days. With the over crowding and the noise you can not be doing your work well. The internet keeps being down. They said they would move to a bigger office but many months has gone by and there are no plans. You used to be able to work from home few days or half day so not have to deal with this so much but that is not being allowed any more.

Pros

-Good beverage choices in the kitchen -401k matching up to 5% -Starbucks in walking distance

Cons

-The company does not run like an oiled machine and is very political and fake in all aspects. -They chased out their whole HR department because the CEO does not see a need. -Only a select few get a parking pass. You need to park at the Pruneyard to walk to work (15-20 mins). -The company is 87% Indian and they claim they're promoting diversity. Everyone who isn't Indian lasts about 6-8 months at best. -The two good people left in leadership have their hands tied as the CEO controls every idea, every meeting and has his own agenda. -There is no employee retention as they are hoping to cost cut further due to Sales not meeting their numbers and they haven't been on target for two+ quarters. -There are no cubes; 8 people share one long table together. If you like open environments, you might enjoy this layout). -On your first day, IT won't have a computer ready for you. On the slight off chance it is ready, you will not have a mouse, keyboard or monitor. India sets up your computer remotely. -It's still privately held after 17 years. I should have seen this as a warning sign...
