The CEO is a very hostile, ignorant and bigoted person

Pros

The frame shop that shares the space has cool employees to hang out with

Cons

The CEO attempts to run a multi media company for a niche market yet she knows nothing about the internet or what it takes to market on the internet. The only reason she can claim a good job and have good marketing numbers is because it is such a niche market that there is no difference. Very unprofessional, the CEO commonly bashed employees to other employees, even the ones that even try to be loyal to her. She is very skilled at making the employees feel very worthless when she knows nothing about what their job actually entails other than she needed them. Aside from how she spoke to you, which usually was no quieter than a screech, the hours were unreasonable, no health care for salary employees (despite it being in your contract that you do get it, it just never ends up getting done by HR) and on your first day she will most likely try to change the agreed salary because 'she just feels like she should not pay you that much'. So after you arrange to start working for this woman, she tries to snake you because she feels its in her right to do so. Not to mention there is a clause in your employee contract stating if you decide to quit the company you can not get pissed off and essentially tell this woman off. Think about how many people had to quit and be very upset about it to have that in writing. The CEO is a very hostile, ignorant and bigoted person, who you can't get away from because it is such a small team and office.

High stress, low respect, revolving doors

Pros

A small team meant tons of responsibility and a lot to do and learn. There was never a dull moment.

Cons

The owner/boss was extremely high strung, volatile, demanding and difficult to talk to or work with. She also expected to have final say over every decision made, from policies to creative output, no matter how small, which meant everyone on the team generally felt hopeless, frustrated and shellshocked due to the constant barrage of demands over which they had little control.

Pros

There are no pros to working here.

Cons

Renee Sacks is quite possibly the most vile person I've ever met in my entire life. I could go on a several page tangent about how terrible she is, but I'd rather not relive those memories. Trust me and do yourself a favor - avoid this company at all costs.
