Toxic Work Culture

Pros

Free breakfast on Monday and lunch on Friday. Friendly colleagues. Health insurance, 401K and standard benefits.

Cons

Toxic work environment where upper management, especially the CEO, routinely belittles employees in front of others. Turnover is very high, and unless you’re in Sales or on the Program/IT team, expect to be required in-office full-time for months before being allowed just one remote day per week. Sales works fully remote, while Program/IT are allowed to work from home on Tues and Thurs. The company hides behind the label of a “start-up” as an excuse for disorganization and blurring the line for respecting an employees’ time or work-life balance. Overall, the culture is extremely dysfunctional, unhealthy and toxic. There’s an unusual fixation on earning a “compliment” from the CEO. If that’s your career aspiration, this might be the perfect place for you.

Toxic and Dysfunctional

Pros

SafeLease offers a 401K as of 2024.

Cons

Most toxic working environment I have ever experienced. The leadership is unsure and there are constant business proposals that never occur or always seem to be on the horizon. The roles are unclear and the turnover in all roles is extremely high.

Pros

SafeLease is an awesome space to work. I honestly can’t think of anything negative about my short experience there. From the management, to culture and coworkers SafeLease was a great place to work. It is completely funded by the owner and founder which is very good for job security. They are open about decisions and things they are planning in the future. Not only do they make plans and goals but they exceed them and their promises are anything but empty. There is a great work/life balance as long as you are getting work done. I never had a problem getting time off.

Cons

No 401k plan, which is normal in a start up, as well as benefits. If you want a remote sales job this is the perfect job for you.
