Pros

The people working for Safetykleen are some of the hardest working and loyal. Whilst there I built up good relations with several people across numerous geographies.

Cons

They have churned 15 executive roles in 18 months, and most have left because of the CEO Philip Maugey. Even the Executive Recruitment industry is avoiding him! The pay and remuneration looks good, but it will never materialize.

Pros

People across the branches are working hard and great to work with. Finance and Accounting teams are brilliant.

Cons

After new CEO joined and UK MD got canned, the business is a free for all. It doesn't communicate goals, values or achievements. UK Management are all focused on personal gain, and willing to throw everyone under the bus to avoid being called out. No company culture, or values shared. No integrity or honesty from UK Senior Management Only focused on short term Sales numbers, it forgets that the basics of business need to be rebuilt and long term investments are required Business will run around in circles until core issues as described are solved.

Pros

Really has some diamond in the rough employees.

Cons

No useable benefits Systematic dysfunction Salaries are horrendous Clear divide between one side of the business and the other (Group Vs UK) - One side being paid substantially more than the other, one side getting more annual leave than the other. No leadership Lack of support No people culture No loyalty to staff - You're seen as an easily replaceable commodity, and you will be. No progression opportunities Unfair Bonus structure that only benefits the highest paid employees High turnover due to lack of understanding of skills needed for the roles that are being advertised. Lack of dedication to the recruitment and HR processes. Salary grading structure out of date, not relevant. Job descriptions do not represent an accurate description of the role new employees will be walking into. Lack of managerial training for managers so they lack the understanding of how to manage a team - this coming from the very top, executive, director level. Extremely dodgy work practices and in some cases illegal work practices being used by people at the top, at a director level. Company compliance is non-existent meaning the employees and clients are not protected whatsoever. The top having no clue about implementing functional systems for their employees.

Hello again, We're proud of the story we continue to build as a leading parts cleaning company. We acknowledge that our past doesn’t define our future – that's why we are fervently committed to pushing the boundaries and setting new standards. The HR team has undergone a very positive transformation. Our repurposed and freshly purposed team is now dedicated to creating a workplace that champions its employees, promoting a culture where every individual is valued, supported, and has the potential to flourish, ensuring that open communication channels are in place for everyone. References to our workforce like having a ‘few rough diamonds’ is luckily no longer associated with our team! Allow us to share some of our recent accomplishments: Employee Engagement: We’ve witnessed a year-on-year growth in engagement scores, with HR alone seeing an improvement of 64%, with 91% saying both their opinions mattered and their ideas counted. Employee Development: A significant number of our employees are currently enrolled in both internal and external training programs to boost their career paths here. Retention and Growth: Our retention rates are improving annually, and just in the past three months, 18 team members have celebrated promotions. And we’ve attracted over 25 new ambitious, talented and collaborative employees also in the past three months. Safety and Wellness: Our newly established HSEQ team is making commendable strides in ensuring that the health and safety of our employees are paramount. Compensation and Benefits: We have developed our benefits package to attract quality people – examples include benefits for new parents through our maternity and paternity policies, medical cover funded by the company, please review our benefits page. Our leadership remains relentless in its pursuit to deliver great customer solutions through great employees. All the best in your career.
