Pros

Working for Salto was an amazing experience until recently. HQ have real heart and a dedication that is truly inspiring. The passion of the people is a strong part of the global culture. Really innovative business with great products and great growth. Lots to look forward to. HQ places a huge focus on marketing as a core business operation, there seemed to be endless career growth opportunities as new requirements filtered down locally.

Cons

Local leadership in the ANZ BU appears to view marketing as a cost centre despite data to the contrary. I observed a culture in the Australian business unit that felt politically charged, where the "in-crowd" was often prioritised over performance. I found the communication from leadership to be non-transparent and felt that successful initiatives were frequently downplayed or met with reactive orders. I further observed a shift toward contract-based roles which, in my opinion, lacks the stability and benefits typically expected in the Australian market. In my personal opinion, I would not re-engage with Salto in Australia as I feel it would directly hinder my career.
