Pros

Never felt such a good vibe before in an organization. Product is awesome, clients love us, management is in a higher level and employees are happy. Did I mention we have the best people? Yes, everyone working here is the best on what they do.

Cons

Not really a con but more like a challenge, Startup business.

Pros

As a startup environment, its fast paced and challenging on many different levels. People are the best I have worked with in my career and make for a great team environment Bar is fun not just for socializing but allowing for time to talk to people in departments you normally wouldn't speak to on a daily basis. (Drinking is always optional) Always looking to participate in community/charity events, which show commitment to our local area. The selection and quantity has increased over time which is great. Fun committee works hard at coming up with some out of the box events that you would not find at other "normal" companies. Karaoke in the office, rollerskating... doesn't get any better. If you work hard, you will be rewarded by the company one way or another - I have seen many people be promoted into different roles, or managers. This is always exciting to see.

Cons

First one of the cons, is reading the negative reviews on this site that don't provide a realistic view of the company. You work at a fast paced SaaS startup, where unless you change, adapt or succeed - you disappear as a company. Some of the people that don't have that spirit don't make it, then complain and blame others. The CEO is challenging to work with (I don't work directly, but I have heard) however, he is just like any of the other founder/CEO's out there - they demand the best from everyone on their team, and why shouldn't they - its their baby that we have the privilege to work on. The way I see it is, if our CEO was not good at what he did, then we certainly wouldn't be the amazing place we are today. If you can't /don't know how to work with an entrepreneurial CEO, then you probably shouldn't - but don't complain. Communication can use work, however I know that management is trying their hardest to give us as much info as they can in an ever changing environment.

Terrible Executives

Pros

This company only gets its stars for the people who work below these executives. the recruiting team is amazing and has brought in some of the best people I've worked with. the product is actually really great as well very easy to understand and sell.

Cons

LOTS OF CONS: HR doesn't care about their employees or how they get treated. they only want to make sure they don't get sued. I've witnessed and experienced people get bullied at work to the point they've bullied people out of their jobs. The heads of departments have gone so far as to spread rumors and lies to hurt the reputation of employees on more than one occasion. Employees are constantly treated differently based on whether they like you or not. They have fired and lay people off in droves this year. and of course many decided to jump ship on their own terms. From when I started to now the company has gone from a great culture of people willing to work hard for a company to a toxic environment where you might not have a job the next day. They will most likely respond to this post saying they take this allegation seriously, but they don't as they already know this stuff and haven't taken action.

I'm sorry that your experience at Samanage wasn't good. I know that I won't say anything in this response that will change your mind and you are 100% entitled to your opinion. Like people, companies make mistakes too. Sometimes we don't hire the right people and we have to make changes. That is probably the worst part of any leaders role, having to let someone go. Other times we may have the best laid plans, thoughts, or ideas and they just don't go as planned and we have to course correct. That's difficult too. To give you a statistic, our annualized turnover is 13%. We work hard every single day to hire the right people, give them a career path, and get out of their way. Like I said before, sometimes we hire the right people that can do this and thrive and other times we do not. We learn from these mistakes and try not to make them again. I wish you the very best of luck in your future endeavors. I'm sorry Samanage wasn't that place for you and hope you find it. Stay in touch because even though we have a difference in opinion, we still want the best for you.
