      Pros

      The mission and goals at Samaritan are really to take care of the patients and communities that we serve. Most of the employees you work with are therefore caring and compassionate. It is a nice place to work. PTO is generous, benefits package is good with insurance and 401K match.

      Cons

      Pay for clinical staff is very good, not always great pay for those on the lower end of the education scale. There is help for education and/or student loans and Samaritan likes to promote from within.

      The largest employer in Corvallis and is the only place to find a job.

      Undervalued and overused staff Under-qualified mid-level management Promotions based on relationship to upper management No incentive programs for top performers

      Pros

      Offers full time employees decent benefit compensation package.

      Cons

      Difficult for growth. Someone with a college degree is getting paid far less than someone straight out of high school. The supervisors and managers thrive in micro management, varies on which department you work. Many of the people working there either got the job because they knew someone or have a family member working in the company. Also, it is the largest employer in Corvallis.
