Pros
The Pros definitely outweigh the Cons. If you are a self motivated person, this is a wonderful job. You have an amazing opportunity to reconnect with so many people from your childhood. The common bond that you share runs very deep. People are proud of their high school and like to have a chance to give back to the school. You do anything and everything to grow the organization - meeting, parties, picnics, and events. Very social. You answer to the President and the Board of Directors. As long as you they are happy then you are happy!
Cons
Because you work with volunteers you may sometimes carry a lot of weight on your shoulders. You must keep a hand in each project to make sure everyone is able to fulfill his/her obligation. If someone isn't able to follow thru then it is up to you to make sure the job gets done.
