Pros

Flexible work schedule; minimal supervision.

Cons

Leadership has been in transition since 2018 and has departed from traditional mission of educating health care providers providing direct service . New emphases on non-clinical programs and research, most likely as a strategy to help fund an expensive new facility being planned for downtown Oakland, even as they move away from in-person to online programs. Enrollments are currently down, possibly due to word on the street about poor staffing, difficulty finding clinical placements, especially for advanced practice nursing programs. Very few (if any) tenured or full professor positions; minimal support for professional development for clinicians; rank and promotion process and support are poorly defined and unevenly applied. Same applies to calculation of teaching loads and requirements for "scholarship and service" required for promotion. Morale among younger faculty slightly better than more experienced/jaded professors.

Pros

The school is a complete disgrace a typical cash cow exploiting first generation minority students who don’t have any background in science.

Cons

The university pretends to embrace diversity, equity and inclusivity exploiting first generation minority students promising them a doctorate degree with a student debt of over 250k, the school admits anybody into their doctoral programs the standard of education inferior with faculty providing east grades to keep their jobs. Hardly any minority faculty to be seen with mostly whites running administration that pay high salary. A typical cash cow school with poor standards of education. The podiatrist medical school has low board scores that they are expecting to be placed on academic probation.

Pros

This school is one of the worst school to work as a teacher. The quality of student are below average and feel entitled. The administration cares less about faculty welfare they under paid and have a high turn over. No future working there as a minority when most of the high paid jobs are held by whites. They pretend to be embracing diversity and inclusion it only applies to students because only minorities with poor academic credentials apply to that school to be in debt for the rest of their lives.

Cons

The work environment is very hostile with colleagues back biting in fact they report on students complaints they heard to administration, they are very unhappy with their salaries and prospects of furthering their careers.
