Disorganized, Micromanaged, No Plan, No Money, No HOPE
Pros
Some talented engineers that work there, but once they see the reality of the chaos, they leave.
Cons
1) This company's "VP and Managers" are the kool-aid drinkers that do not wish to face reality of a failing company. The owner is the key micromanager and the kool aid drinkers carry out the chaos. Each of the kool aid drinkers could not survive in a real company as they lack any managerial skills, project planning, budgeting, and do not know how to take care of employees, 2) No real plan on how to complete their current project, other than forecasting dates that the project will be done (for 5 years now with many dates projected and not even close to being completed) and "we are now accepting orders" line to con people (board of directors, potential investors, and the kool aid drinkers) to give a false hope. 3) the current project is driven on demo dates. Board of directors stepped in once and asked for a real timeline plan on how to complete their project. A 30 day trial software program was built to capture the timelines of all areas and thrown away by the owner. Because the owner DOES NOT BELIEVE IN TIMELINES. No timelines leads to not understanding overall cost or actual timelines. 4) The company financial health is horrible. Many times paydays were delayed till the following week, vendors not being paid, vendors steering clear of Sandel as they know they will not be getting paid. After several months with paydays delayed, that Christmas the Kool-Aid drinkers received bonuses-(loyalty bonuses) upwards to $10+K each-the employees that actually dealt with the chaos received nothing. 5) The non Kool-aid drinkers could not understand how investors or potential investors would be conned into giving this company/project any money. Good luck on getting your money back. 6) Constant revolving door of employees as they come to terms of the reality and look to escape the circle of doom. 7) Kool-aid drinkers are two faced and will get rid of people if they ask too many questions, if they don't drink the Kool-aid, and laugh at you as you walk out the door. I saw this happen too many times. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. 8) Do not work here.
