Pros

- started off as a nice environment for the first 6 months - progression is there if you are given the right accounts / opportunities

Cons

High turnover in APM which means lots of constant training which can overload stress on colleagues. APM are definitely looked down upon from other teams and the work the team do is not as rewarded as other teams. Pay is not good and there is not as much flexibility with remote working. The team do a lot of work including taking on other work for colleagues when covering accounts, however there is no give and take with the extra work that is done. I think more flexibility/ higher pay bracket should be rewarded to the team as they do a fantastic job. It does also feel like complete favouritism with team members. They don’t give people who have been in the company longer than others any opportunities to progress. Progression is only an option if they like you as a person. Lastly, team morale. Team morale felt quite intense at times, clicky, people in their groups. It didn’t feel like “one team” as it should. Starting a new role in another company, has made me realise how under appreciated and not valued I was in this company.

Pros

Team were friendly and made friends

Cons

There was no room for progression you weren’t encouraged to progress it almost seemed like they didn’t want you to. Unless you were recruiter you are not appreciated whatsoever by senior management. Recruiters were happy to speak to our team in a rude manner and seemed to have no idea what we did. The pay was poor and the bonus that used to be good just got less and less each year. To the point where there was no Christmas bonus at all this year(they didn’t tell us this until after we had our reviews) . The office atmosphere is depressing encouraged to sit in silence. Had some days where I spoke to no one all day. Overall I would not recommend Sanderson as a company to work for. The company is out of touch with the cost of living, difficult to afford living in Bristol on their wages. Also the way women are spoke about from the recruiters is old fashioned and disrespectful.
